Trials and field studies
Discover the results of Väderstad’s agronomy trials and field studies from different regions. This page presents research on seeding rates, row spacing, crop performance, and more. Each study highlights our practical approach to precision farming and our commitment to helping farmers improve yields and use resources efficiently.

The Wil-Rich compaction study 2025
Zero-till practices have boosted yields and soil health in Western Canada, yet low moisture can lead to compaction. This study investigates variable-depth compaction tillage, guided by prescription mapping, as a targeted solution. Using the Väderstad Wil-Rich 357 Inline Ripper, the project evaluates how precision tillage can minimise compaction and improve return on investment for growers.

The Seed Hawk agronomy trials 2025
Download the Seed Hawk agronomy trials document to explore results from 2025 field trials, conducted with farmers and research institutes. The report focuses on optimising seeding rates and compares crop performance at different row spacings using the Seed Hawk ir drill.
