Väderstad launches the new Spirit and Inspire

Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in tillage, seeding and planting, introduces a new generation of the seed drills Spirit 400-900C/S as well as Inspire 1200C/S. The machines are now fitted with a new seed coulter, extended coulter pressure, a new following harrow option, as well as hydraulic depth setting from cab.
For Model Year 2026 Väderstad moves Spirit and Inspire to the next level in seed depth precision and performance. At the heart of the machine is the new seed coulter, featuring TriForce II. TriForce II is a patented suspension technology that enables every seed coulter to follow the field’s contours with even greater precision.
- Thanks to the new patented TriForce II coulter arm suspension, the new Spirit and Inspire seed drills has an unmatched ability to maintain their set coulter pressure when stressed by field irregularities. A challenge present in almost every field, says Björn Jeansson, Commercial Manager Seed drills, at Väderstad.
By designing the TriForce II seed coulter rubber suspension with a unique triangular beam, the suspension gets a high- and low gear. Thereby making it able to handle the movements in field, while maintaining its set pressure to the ground. This a step forward regarding seed depth precision, compared to conventional methods in the double-disc seed drill segment. TriForce II is a patented innovation by Väderstad.
- TriForce II is unique in the business and has been proven to provide an unmatched seed coulter pressure stability in field, also at higher working speeds. The result is seen in a more consistent seed depth, leading to an even germination and more uniform crop emergence, says Björn Jeansson.
The new seed coulter is able to apply 120kg coulter pressure, instead of 80kg as the previous model.
- The increased coulter pressure makes it possible for the machines to perform at peak level in a slightly higher range of soil conditions. But also it provides the machine with an upside regarding the suspension capacity, says Björn Jeansson.
In addition, the new Spirit and Inspire can be fitted with hydraulic depth setting as an option.
- The hydraulic depth setting, makes it possible for the farmer to set the depth directly from the cab, instead of the manual setting at the back of the machine, says Björn Jeansson.
The new Spirit 400-900C/S and Inspire 1200C/S will premiere at Agritechnica 2025. The machines are available to order from October 2025, with deliveries starting later in the year.
