Väderstad appoints new Group CEO

Mats Båverud, Group CEO, Väderstad Group

Väderstad’s Board of Directors has appointed Mats Båverud as CEO for Väderstad Group.

- We recognise a need and use of a strong coordinated leadership of the companies in the Väderstad Group. Our ambition is to keep creating a growing and competitive group that offers farmers competitive and highly efficient machinery and methods in more and more areas of the world, says Crister Stark, Chairman of the Board, and adds:

- We are pleased that Mats Båverud has accepted this role and his great mix of leadership and development skills, manufacturing experience, and his broad technical knowledge will be extremely valuable to the group. Mats Båverud also has a strong drive and capacity to work with continuous improvements and quality.

Mats Båverud, currently Quality Manager and Director of research and development at Väderstad AB, is a mechanical engineer with a broad and deep experience from the international manufacturing industry. He has held senior management positions at ABB, Volvo PV, Fresenius Kabi, Beiersdorf and more. Mats is an experienced and strong leader who is also engaging and humble.

Mats Båverud is also responsible for Vaderstad Industries Inc, previously Seed Hawk Inc. in Canada. The company manufactures and sells large air seeders mainly for the Canadian, American and Australian markets.

With his new appointment Mats Båverud will take up the position as Chairman in the Boards of Directors for Vaderstad Industries Inc., Väderstad AB and Svensk Presshärdning AB. These companies will carry on business as before with current management.

The Väderstad Group will remain a 100 % family owned company and the family members that today are active at Väderstad Holding will keep working with Mats Båverud in strategic matters such as continued internationalisation, growth, products, production development and profitability development.
Crister, Christina, Andreas and Bo Stark will still be part of the Board of directors for the different companies and Crister Stark will still be Chairman for Väderstad Holding AB.
