Superior precision - large capacity
The Tempo L is a trailed high-speed planter with high capacity. It's available with 8, 10, 12, 16, 18 or 24 row units. The Tempo L doubles the capacity of a traditional planter and, more importantly, the crop is established with higher precision. It sets a new standard for high-capacity planting.
The Väderstad Tempo is a new generation high-speed planter, delivering unmatched precision at double the speed of traditional planters. No-till, min-till or conventional tillage – the Tempo performs exceptionally well in all conditions. It gives your crop the best start possible with even emergence.

High-capacity fertilizer metering
Depending on the model, the Tempo L can be equipped with either an 85- or 142-bushel hopper. Granular fertilizer is metered through the high-capacity Fenix III metering system, which is capable of rates up to 300 pounds per acre at 10 mph.
The electric driven Fenix III has variable rate capabilities, and the high-capacity fertilizer system maintains high precision even at high speeds.

Perfect depth control
The Tempo L is equipped with hydraulic wing pressure, which transfers weight from the inner section of the planter to the outer wings.
This allows the Tempo L to respond to any irregularities in the field and ensure even emergence.

Telescoping wheel axle
To ensure the transport wheels follow the row spacing, the Tempo L is equipped with a telescoping wheel axle, which can be easily adjusted from the cab. So whatever the row spacing, the transport wheels can be adjusted to always run between the seed rows. The wheel axles are easily set to a 10-foot width for transport.
Liquid fertilizer
As a new option, the high-speed planter Väderstad Tempo L 8-24 can be equipped with a liquid fertilizer system. The system is fully integrated in the machine, built for the high-speed precision planting that Väderstad Tempo is known for.
Despite its large capacity, the Tempo L folds to a transport width of only 10 feet.
Optimized accuracy with next-level automation
By upgrading the data processing capabilities of the planter, additional features to ensure accuracy in the field are unlocked. The optional features are curve compensation, active hydraulic downforce and auto singulation.
Curve compensation ensures a consistent rate
Active sensors communicate when the machine is turning and adjust the metering output of each row unit to always ensure a consistent rate over the full Tempo planter width.
Active hydraulic downforce enables furrow management
With the active hydraulic downforce system, Tempo instantly reacts to changes in soil conditions, always maintaining the set optimum row unit pressure.

Auto singulation monitors and optimizes
With automatic motors on each row unit, seed singulation is continuously monitored and optimized. This saves time and increases the productive time in the field.
Full control at your fingertips
The iPad-based control system, Väderstad E-Control, wirelessly delivers data about each seed that travels through the planter, including seeding quality, skips, doubles, spacing and rate.
You benefit from user-friendly remote setup and calibration, as well as easy, real-time monitoring and control.
Through the iPad, you can download the most recent software updates, allowing your system to always stay current with future developments.

In-row precision
The Tempo seed meter, together with the PowerShoot, guarantees that each seed is placed one-by-one with extreme accuracy in the furrow.
By providing even plant spacing, without skips and doubles, the Tempo delivers very high in-row precision. This means all plants are given the same growing conditions from the start.

Depth precision
The Tempo planter has a heavy-duty design, transferring high weight to the row units. This ensures a stable ride with maintained planting depth in all conditions.
The exact depth precision leads to even germination which, in turn, is critical to growing strong and healthy crops with great yield potential. -
End-of-row precision
Each row unit on the Tempo planter is electrically driven with GPS-controlled individual row shut-off capabilities.
By eliminating overlaps on headlands and irregular field areas, potential yield losses are avoided while reducing input costs by 5-10%. The Tempo offers section control for seed, fertilizer and micro granulates.
PowerShoot - Precision at high speeds
On traditional planters, the seed falls freely through the seed tube from the seed meter down to the soil. When vibrations arise as the speed increases, the seed bounces in the seed tube, reducing the precision of the seed meter.
This is where Tempo, with its pressurized seed meter, stands out from the crowd.
Thanks to the PowerShoot technology, which uses air pressure to maintain full control of the seed all the way down to the soil, gravity is removed from the equation, meaning that speed is not an issue for the Tempo.
One machine - Multiple crops
Corn, soybeans, sugarbeets, sunflowers, canola, cotton, sorghum and many more – the Tempo is capable of planting a full range of crops with excellent results. By easily changing the row spacing and machine setup for different crops, the Tempo offers superior versatility on the farm. The result is increased efficiency and minimized machine costs per acre. Changing the seed discs can be done in a matter of seconds without the need for tools.
Excellent in all crops
The small seeds kit, which includes suspended stop wheels and the ability to adjust the closing wheel angle, ensures excellent results when planting small-seeded crops, such as canola and sugarbeets. This improves yield and increases the versatility of the Tempo high-speed planter.

Row-by-row shut-off
To avoid overlap planting, each row unit can be shut-off one at a time. This can either be controlled manually or using GPS and ISOBUS Task Controller. This feature saves seed and input costs, especially in irregular fields.

Easy-to-use tram lining
Tempo makes tram lines simpler and more reliable than ever before with E-Control. When planting a field, the Tempo can automatically shut off specific row units when needed to match the sprayer tire tracks.

Individual calibration
The Tempo is the obvious choice for seed growers. Since the row units are individually electric driven, the same machine can plant multiple seed varieties at different rates and row spacings. It is set up and monitored using E-Control.
No-till, min-till or conventional tillage
The Tempo is capable of planting with up to 716.5 pounds of down pressure. This enables high-speed planting in a wide range of field conditions and tillage systems.
To save moisture and increase capacity during busy periods on the farm, it can plant directly into stubble or corn stalks. Thanks to the heavy-duty row unit and effective row cleaners, the Tempo delivers perfect results in all conditions.
Optimal seed-to-soil contact
When the seed leaves the seed tube, it is stopped by the press wheel.
The press wheel fulfils two important tasks: it stops the seed at the exact intended spot and then presses it into moist soil. This ensures optimal seed-to-soil contact and fast, even germination.
Built for high speed
Every component of Tempo is designed for high-speed planting with minimal service requirements.
All joints in the row unit are maintenance-free, and the heavy-duty parallel linkage is designed to transfer weight to the row unit. The frame, row unit, fan and hydraulics all have a robust design, resulting in a durable, versatile and easy-to-maintain planter that fits the requirements of your farm.

Zone 1 - Fertilizer placement (option)
Depending on the model, the Tempo L can be equipped with either an 85- or 142-bushel hopper, including the highly precise Fenix III system to meter out granular fertilizer. It is capable of rates up to 312.3 pounds per acre at 9.3 mph with the ability to do variable rate, thanks to an electric drive. The high-capacity fertilizer coulters maintain high precision even at high speeds.

Zone 2 - Row cleaners (option)
Row cleaners are optional on the Tempo. They're used to remove crop residue, clods and rocks ahead of the disc openers. The need to use row cleaners is much higher when planting into no-till conditions or other fields with large amounts of residue.

With the Tempo, planting can be done at very high speeds without compromising precision and accuracy. The seed meters ensure perfect placement for every seed, which is key to maximizing yield.
