The seed drills in the product family Rapid A 600-800C has pneumatic seed transport with a very high drilling capacity. All models have an extensive hopper capacity of 6000 litres, divided between two compartments. Rapid A 600-800C combine an impressive capacity with easy manoeuvring and great results.
Rapid is a seed drill that carries out seedbed preparation, levelling, drilling and reconsolidation in one pass. It offers a reliable seeding result at high working speed. The simplicity in construction, paired with a high machine quality ensures a long working life and low operating costs. Direct drilling, reduced tillage or conventional tillage – Rapid creates perfect seeding results in all conditions.
The high capacity hydraulically driven metering system Fenix is able to handle all seed sizes in application rates from 1.5kg/ha up to 500kg/ha, without having to change any parts.
This means that the metering system will never be a limiting factor for high rates and high speed drilling on the field.
The big hopper has an adjustable dividing wall that separates its two sections.
On the combi-version, Rapid A 600-800C, an integrated hydraulic auger meters the fertiliser from the back of the hopper, directly into the airflow of the fertiliser distributor head.
To offer full versatility, the combi-version Rapid A 600-800C may use this technique to enable seed-only application.
To be able to instantly adapt to varying soil structure or differing conditions in the field, Rapid A 600-800C can be equipped with the unique depth control system Interactive Depth Control (IDC).
The system enables fine-tuning of the seeding depth with 1mm accuracy on the move.
Combined with the possibility to alter the seed rate, the driver is constantly in full control of the seeding operation.
The pivot packer carries part of the load, and thanks to the quick-turn linkage, the machine is incredibly responsive.
Because of this design, the turning radius is impressively small despite the size of the machine. This allows for shorter headlands and maximised utilisation of the full potential of the field.
The narrow transport width of 3m further allows fast and safe transport.
For maximised uptime in the field, the hopper has a very big opening, resulting in fast filling.
The large side-platform provides full access to the entire hopper. The hopper cover is quickly opened from the ground, thereby saving time in hectic periods on the farm.
As standard Rapid A 600-800C is equipped with half-machine shut-off. The system is activated from the cab.
Using on irregular fields offers the potential for great savings.
Farmers who regularly use half machine shut-off appreciate the fact that they can save up to 5% seed and fertiliser, whilst at the same time ensuring the crop get the best start possible.

Väderstad SeedEye is a unique system for seed counting and seed monitoring. With SeedEye farmers can easily set the number of seeds per square metre, without the need for calibration. SeedEye ensures excellent seeding results with full control.
The dynamic tramlining function makes tramlining simpler and more reliable than ever before. The function is easy to setup with the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control. When seeding the field, the seed drill automatically shuts off specific rows when needed to match the tyre tracks of the sprayer.
The modern iPad-based control system, Väderstad E-Control wirelessly connects to the Väderstad machine enabling full access to its functions and data.
You benefit from user-friendly remote set up and calibration as well as real-time monitoring and control.
With the iPad you can upload the most recent program software which allows you to benefit from future developments.
By equipping Rapid A 600-800C with the mountable small seeder BioDrill 360, a small seeded crop such as cover crops or ley, can be drilled together with the main crop.
The spreader plates distribute the seed evenly in front of the packer wheels, thereby securing a good seed-to-soil contact.
BioDrill provides an accurate seeding at the same time as saving passes on the field.

Before drilling, the soil is consolidated by the tractor wheels. The pivot packer on Rapid ensures that the same reconsolidation is exerted on areas between tractor wheels.
Wing packer
Rapid A 600-800C/J can be complemented with wing packers that consolidate the soil in front of the wing sections. This improves emergence on light soils.
To fit different farming needs and tillage practices, Rapid comes with a wide choice of front tools.The intensity can be set hydraulically from the driving seat on the move, depending on what the conditions require.
CrossBoard Heavy
The CrossBoard Heavy toolbar makes the Rapid drill short and responsive. The turning circle on headlands is impressively small and it is easy to reverse the machine out of corners in the field. CrossBoard Heavy consists of hardened CrossBoard tines with angled wearing plates to provide aggressive cultivation. Clods are crushed and the soil is leveled. The CrossBoard tines do not draw up stones and is therefore suitable for stony fields.
System Agrilla CrossBoard Heavy
System Agrilla CrossBoard Heavy consists of two rows of Agrilla tines in combination with a CrossBoard row. System Agrilla has its rightful place on lighter soils where thorough loosening is required or on soils where the surface is hard. The tines efficiently rip loose large amounts of material for the CrossBoard Heavy to break up. System Agrilla efficiently breaks capillary transport of water to the surface, levels the field after ploughing and moves fine material down into the seedbed.
System Disc
It consists of two rows of intensively cutting discs (410mm diameter) that are slightly conical in shape. System Disc is ideal for farms using min till where the fields are leveled. A Rapid equipped with System Disc copes very well with crop residues as all cultivation is carried out by discs.
System Disc CrossBoard Heavy
System Disc CrossBoard Heavy is our most aggressive toolbar. It consists of two rows of intensively working and slicing discs (410mm) that are slightly conical in shape. In addition, a row of CrossBoard tines crushes clods and levels the soil surface.
Rapid has an amazing ability to keep the seed depth under the most difficult conditions. Each packer wheel controls the drilling depth of two coulters by a unique mechanical linkage. The coulters are rubber suspended which ensures a calm operation also at high speed. Depending on model, Rapid A 600-800C has a coulter pressure up to 195kg, thus enabling an exact seed depth also under the toughest conditions.
Each packer wheel presses the soil down over two rows of seed and one row of fertiliser. This beds the seed in thoroughly and provides optimum conditions for germination.
The following harrow creats a loose evaporation barrier that prevents surface crusting after heavy rain.
Slug pellet spreader plates
The slug pellet spreader plates enables application of slug pellet together with the drilling operation. The slug pellet is distributed via the mountable small seeder BioDrill 360.
