A well‑defined seed furrow
The shape of the furrow plays an important role in germination and early crop development. Tempo is designed to open a precise, well‑defined furrow and deliver the seed accurately to the bottom of it, creating stable conditions from the very start.
With the PowerShoot system, the seed tube is kept thin to support controlled and accurate seed delivery. Combined with improved disc angles, the row unit opens a narrower seed slot with less soil displacement. This helps reduce sidewall compaction and lowers the risk of dry topsoil falling back into the furrow.
Accurate depth control supports consistent placement across the field, even when working at higher speeds. The well‑defined furrow is easy to close and provides favourable conditions for early root development, supporting even emergence and crop establishment.
The new seed meter: Precision meets simplicity
Features include a one-hand lid, easy seed tube change and a seed opening hatch for effortless maintenance and operation. Switching between crops is now faster and easier.
The new seed hopper: Smoother and smarter
Designed with a wider opening, improved emptying angles and constructed from a new material for better durability and handling. Available in both central-fill and standard versions.
Connected and in control
Equipped with a new gateway, updated electronics and full cab control for seamless integration and monitoring. New features include electronic planting depth setting and closing wheel pressure adjustment from the cab.
Built for versatility and durability
Enhanced row unit change system, improved closing wheel arm, optimized cable routing and a robust new design. The new row unit fits all Tempo and Proceed models and can be configured to match different farming needs.

Väderstad introduces a new generation row unit for Tempo and Proceed precision planters, designed to deliver unmatched accuracy and performance in every field.
Start of sales and delivery: June 2026
The new row unit will be fitted to all Tempo and Proceed models from June 2026. At the same time, the current row unit will be discontinued.
