Job cloning
The Clone Job feature in the iCon control app allows operators to quickly create new jobs by duplicating an existing job directly from the job list using the Clone Job button. This functionality reduces setup time by carrying over previously defined job parameters, such as field settings and configurations, eliminating the need to re‑enter repetitive information. By enabling fast replication of proven job setups, the Clone Job feature helps ensure consistency across similar fields or operations, minimises the risk of input errors, and supports a more efficient, reliable workflow during time‑sensitive seeding operations.

Creating pre-planned jobs in the cloud
Creating pre-planned jobs in Seed Hawk Cloud allows operators to prepare accurate, consistent job setups in advance and streamline the transition from planning to field execution within the iCon control app. By entering job details ahead of time, users can reduce in‑cab setup time, minimise the risk of input errors during busy seeding operations, and ensure jobs are configured consistently across machines and operators. Once synced, pre-planned jobs are immediately available in the iCon control app, enabling faster starts in the field while still allowing final calibration values to be updated at seeding time, ensuring both efficiency and accuracy when it matters most.

Starting a pre-planned job
Creating pre-planned jobs in Seed Hawk Cloud allows operators to complete detailed job setup ahead of time and seamlessly transition to execution in the iCon control app. By preparing jobs in advance, users can reduce in‑cab setup time, improve consistency across operators, and minimise data entry during busy seeding windows. Once synced, pre-planned jobs appear directly on the job screen in the iCon control app, where they can be selected and started immediately, allowing operators to focus on calibration and field operation while ensuring jobs are executed accurately and efficiently.

Importing boundaries from farm management systems
Importing field boundaries from farm management systems into Seed Hawk Cloud provides a more accurate and efficient foundation for job setup within the iCon control app. By leveraging existing, georeferenced boundary data, operators can eliminate manual field creation, reduce the risk of boundary errors, and ensure consistency between agronomic planning and machine operation. Once imported and synced, these boundaries are immediately available for use in the iCon control app, supporting precise section control, accurate mapping, and streamlined in‑field workflows while improving overall operational efficiency and data alignment across systems.

SCTx subscription process
SCTx is Väderstad’s advanced Sectional Control Technology that enhances seeding accuracy through lookahead prediction and kinematic modelling. By using an additional GPS receiver and defined kinematic profiles, SCTx allows the system to anticipate machine movement and more precisely manage opener on/off timing in headlands, curves, and complex field conditions, reducing overlap and missed areas. SCTx is available as a subscription that can be purchased through the Seed Hawk Cloud, where it can be assigned to specific machines and activated in the iCon control app to unlock its functionality.

SCTx in‑app setup
Setting up SCTx in the iCon control app ensures the system can accurately predict machine movement and apply sectional control with greater precision. During setup, operators define the required GPS inputs and kinematic details so the app can calculate lookahead behaviour and manage opener timing more proactively. This configuration supports smoother transitions in headlands and curves, reduces overlap, and helps maintain consistent seeding accuracy. By completing the SCTx setup before entering the field, operators enable the iCon control app to deliver more responsive, reliable performance throughout the work process.

Kinematic profile creation
Setting up kinematic profiles in the iCon control app ensures accurate machine positioning and consistent system performance by correctly defining how the implement, tractor, and guidance system relate to one another. Proper kinematic configuration allows the control system to account for offsets, dimensions, and movement characteristics, supporting accurate section control, precise mapping, and reliable boundary adherence in the field. By establishing these profiles in advance, operators can improve operational accuracy, reduce positioning‑related errors, and ensure that all jobs are executed as intended, resulting in more efficient field operations and higher‑quality agronomic outcomes.
