The 12 metre wide pneumatic seed drill Inspire 1200C/S offers a high-capacity output at a low draught force requirement. Its adaptive double disc seed coulters system, paired with the highly advanced Fenix III metering system, results in even emergence and strong crop growth. It is available as a seed-only or seed- and fertiliser model.
The heart of Inspire is its responsive double disc seed coulter system. It has an excellent ability to adapt to any irregularities on the field, thereby always keeping the seeding depth constant. The result is an impressive seed placement and an even emergence over the entire field.
Inspire 1200C/S is able to control the output in eight separate sections. This means that Inspire 1200C/S can conduct sectional control down to 1.5m sections. This is a unique precision feature in the 12-metre seed drill segment.
The ability of the seed meter to deliver an exact rate at an even flow lays the foundation for the establishment of the coming crop. The Fenix III excels in this area. Its precise, reliable and simple operation allows for a wide range of versatility to suit all types of seeding applications. It can handle seed rates down to 1kg per hectare, while also enabling high doses, never limiting capacity.
Inspire 1200C/S is designed for high performance with minimised downtime in the field. It is equipped with a large hopper, with a low filling height and large opening. The seed-only version Inspire 1200S is equipped with a 5000-litre hopper for seeds. While the combi version Inspire 1200C has a 7200-litre hopper holding both seeds and fertiliser in two separate compartments. With a large platform and an open machine design, you benefit from good access to all components throughout the machine.
Inspire 1200C/S is equipped with hydraulic wing pressure which transfers weight from the inner section of the machine to its outer wings. This enables Inspire 1200C/S to respond to any irregularities on the field and ensure an even emergence.
TriForce is Väderstad’s unique coulter suspension doubling the coulters contour movement compared to a conventional four bar rubber suspension.
This gives perfect seed placement on uneven ground, such as wheel tracks or undulating fields.
To provide an aggressive working angle but with maximum penetration force, the seed discs are mounted in an OffSet position. Inspire is able to reach the desired working depth irrespective of soil type or conditions on the field.
Due to the discs design the aggressive working angle of the seed discs is maintained over time, thereby maximising precision. Non-offset discs open up with wear allowing soil to enter, this disrupts the seed distribution and reduces precision.
Seed is released in front of the seed discs centre, this enables the seed to benefit from the rotational movement of the disc.
The rotation of the seed disc helps place the seed in the bottom of the seed slot, enabling immediate access to moisture. This system does not require a seed firmer which lowers wearing part costs.
The seed discs have a conical shape, this shape creates a narrow seed slot with minimal disruption to the soil.
This results in lower draught requirement and an increased ability to handle crop residues. Together with the OffSet seed disc, seed depth is maintained with low coulter pressure.
A rapid and even emergence provides the crop with considerably higher competitiveness against weeds, this is especially important as more herbicide resistant weeds are on the increase. Research show that 125mm row spacing result in 20% less weeds than 150mm. A narrow row spacing allows for a larger seed spacing, thereby lowering the fungi pressure. The rapid and even emergence leads to lower evaporation, at a time when the access to moisture is most crucial.
Inspire 1200C/S is equipped with the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control. Väderstad E-Control wirelessly connects to the Väderstad machine enabling full access to its functions and data. You benefit from user-friendly remote setup and calibration, as well as real-time monitoring and control.
Inspire has 380mm large discs for high-speed accuracy. The OffSet discs move the soil to the side and place the seed in the bottom of the seed furrow. The soil falls back behind the discs and covers the seed with fine soil. The seed coulter pressure is up to 80kg to ensure good penetration. The unique TriForce rubber suspension gives a supreme ability to follow ground contour.
Each individual seed coulter has a wide coulter press wheel. This allows the seed coulters to respond to any irregularities or soil variations on the field, thereby ensuring the working depth is constantly maintained. The generous diameter of the coulter press wheel, further results in a smooth ride with minimal impacts from vibrations, thereby increasing precision at high speed.
The following harrow is positioned to run in between the seed rows, so there is no risk of disturbing shallow-drilled seeds. The following harrow creates a loose evaporation barrier to preserve moisture and prevents capping after heavy rain.
