A highly versatile high-speed disc

The Carrier XL 425-725 high-speed disc is available in working widths between 13.9 to 23.8 feet. It can be fitted with 20- or 24-inch discs with adjustable angles to maximize performance in the field. This versatility makes it an ideal tool for deeper cultivation, incorporating heavy crop residue, breaking up pasture and many other applications. Front tool options help it adapt to many different farming operations as well.

Disc options for various working depths

The Carrier XL can be equiped with either 20- or 24-inch TrueCut discs. The 20-inch discs offer more space around each disc for higher soil and residue flow through the implement. The 24-inch disc, on the other hand, enables greater working depth for incorporating large amounts of crop residue, such as corn stalks in the fall.

The available CrossCutter Disc performs well in cover crops or sizing small grain residue. Because of its specialized disc shape and premium quality Swedish steel, the CrossCutter Disc provides full-width tillage and intensive mixing at shallow working depths for creating the ideal seedbed.

MultiSet adjustable disc angles

The adjustable MultiSet disc hubs allow the disc angle to be manually set to one of three positions between 11 and 17 degrees. This adjustment can help the user achieve uniform tillage and residue slicing at shallow working depths or good penetration when deeper tillage is required.

Easy adjustment

The maximum working depth is set on the machine, while operational depth settings are adjusted hydraulically from the cab. To ensure optimal slicing and uniform tillage, the front row of discs can be adjusted laterally via rigging screws.

Support on packer or wheels

The Carrier XL 425-725 design allows the transport wheels to be lowered in the field for improved maneuverability. 

Because of this feature, on headlands the machine can be turned on either the packer or the wheels. The wheels can also be lowered in damp areas or when shallower tillage is desired. Additionally, by raising up the frame, operators can easy back into corners, helping cover the whole field.

The Carrier XL 425-725 can be equipped with the CrossCutter Knife. This intensive knife roller is designed to cut crop residue in two directions.

The CrossCutter Knife finely cuts straw, corn stalks and other residue to help it decompose faster. It also helps to efficiently crush and incorporate cover crops. It helps produce an ideal environment for the successul germination of small-seeded crops like canola.
