Väderstad Tempo R with high-capacity fertilizer metering

High-capacity fertilizer metering

The Tempo R can be equipped with an optional 34-bushel granular fertilizer hopper and fertilizer opening coulters.

The hopper is mounted on the planter with access to the main opening from steps on both sides. The high-capacity hopper results in fewer fillings to reduce downtime in the field.

Electric motors enable variable fertilizer rates, offering higher yield potential with the same amount of fertilizer.

Väderstad Tempo row shut-off saves fertilizer

Row shut-off saves fertilizer

Like the seed meters, the fertilizer meters have individual row shut-offs. This maintains uniform rates throughout the field, even on irregular fields. The fertilizer is metered through short hoses for fast reaction time when the rows are turned on and off.

The individual row shut off provides equal conditions for each plant, which leads to even crop emergence while reducing fertilizer costs.

Product concept

Zone 1 - Fertilizer placement (option)

Fertilizer opening coulters and a large fertilizer hopper make it possible to precisely band fertilizer while planting the crop.

Fertilizer kit

Zone 2 - Row cleaners (option)

Row cleaners are optional on the Tempo. They're used to remove crop residue, clods and rocks ahead of the disc openers. The need to use row cleaners is much higher when planting into no-till conditions or other fields with large amounts of residue.

Floating row cleaners

Zone 3 - Seed placement

With the Tempo, planting can be done at very high speeds without compromising precision and accuracy. The seed meters ensure perfect placement for every seed, which is key to maximizing yield.

Zone 4 - Closing

After the seed is planted, the closing wheels cover the seed trench, creating perfect conditions for germination. Several industry-standard, third-party closing wheel solutions can also be used, depending on the needs of each farm.
