410mm: Seeding with no interference
390-370mm: Order new discs
355mm: Replace discs
Replace bolts when changing discs
The seal between the hub and disc prevents moisture from entering the bearing, ensuring long-term durability. Using new bolts guarantees perfect tension, providing a firm attachment for the disc’s entire lifespan. Additionally, fresh bolt heads remain in good condition, making future removal easier. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to replace bolts whenever you change discs.

The disc and hub must be considered as one unit. If the tolerances of each part are exceeded, moisture and soil particles can enter the bearing, or tension between the bolts and disc can lead to cracking around the holes.

Long or short slots on coulters: Choosing the right fit
Short slots offer improved accuracy for seed placement, which is especially valuable in dry spring drilling. However, in very wet or challenging conditions, short slots can be more prone to blockage.
For most crops, a 16mm slot width is ideal. For larger seeds, like beans, the wider 19mm slot is a safer option, reducing the risk of blockages and ensuring smoother operation.

Proper coulter alignment
For optimal performance, the coulter should touch the disc at the lower part, with a gap of 0.5–2.5mm at the top.
Important: The coulter must never extend below the level of the disc.
