The pointed closing wheel is recommended for planting depths of 3 cm or more in medium to heavy soils. It creates a fine tilth and is highly effective at closing the seed furrow. The wheel can be mounted in pairs or combined with a 25 mm rubber wheel. By breaking the sidewall of the furrow, the pointed closing wheel ensures better soil contact and reduces the risk of the furrow reopening as the soil dries out.
