Väderstad AB has turned a profit in a short time and now needs to further strengthen its organisation. Recruitment is under way for several senior positions at the company. Successful markets that stand out are Sweden and Hungary, both of which are set to reach an “all-time high”. Optimism is also reflected in the sales forecasts, which have been increased to 6 per cent by 2016.
“Väderstad AB has adopted a split financial year and is currently working to finalise the financial statements for 2015. We are very proud of the expected positive result, particularly considering the tough market. The profit forecast is currently just over 5 per cent,” comments Managing Director Lars Wretman.
Many senior positions
“We can look forward to the future and modern agriculture with confidence for many reasons and are working hard to fill several senior positions. At the moment we are working to fill 12 positions within sales and marketing, service, purchasing and product development. The production capacity is also being increased, primarily by employing agency staff,” says Lars.
Silver medal for Väderstad
“During autumn 2015, a number of innovations will be revealed in connection with the international Agritechnica fair in Hanover. The fair is very important for us and this year it will be particularly enjoyable, as for the first time we have won a silver medal for one of our innovations,” says Mattias Hovnert, Sales Marketing Director at Väderstad.
Russia & Ukraine managed well
“Väderstad has managed the downturn in Russia and Ukraine very well during the past year by investing carefully, working closely with existing importers and cooperating with our customers,” says Mattias.
Sales successes with Carrier and Rapid
“During 2015, Väderstad has experienced particular sales success with the new Carrier models and with the Rapid seed drill. The success of these machines is also driving sales of the rest of the range,” says Mattias.
