Väderstad is entering into an official agreement with the Spanish import company Agrometalicas Arecha, which is run by Jose-Maria Arechavaleta. Its head offices are in Vitoria-Gasteiz in northern Spain.
José-Maria is working proactively to build up Väderstad in Spain and practically every customer receives personal assistance and training by him. “At the same time, we are establishing a widespread dealer network across the country’s agricultural areas”, confirmed Magnus Samuelsson, Sales Manager for Spain at Väderstad-Verken.
The soils of Spain are similar to those of the Östgöta plains in Sweden where the company Väderstad is located, with generally high levels of clay and many stones.
“Spanish farmers have high demands and are interested in new technology. In many areas of Spain there has been a marked increase in direct drilling, as a result of climate change”, noted José-Maria Arechavaleta.
Otherwise, Rapid, Carrier and Tempo are the most important machines on this market.
“Väderstad has every chance of succeeding in Spain, since we can offer farmers high precision and quality, or in other words machines that can withstand the tough conditions in Spain” concluded Magnus Samuelsson.
