Väderstad moves into a new office at the Linköping university campus area

Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in tillage, drilling and planting will expand its presence in Linköping. In the new office in Mjärdevi there will be office space for over 100 employees.

Since early 2019, Väderstad has had an office in the Tornby area. It has mainly served two purposes: solve office shortages in Väderstad as well as attract employees with specific skills to Väderstad. One floor quickly became two, but now Väderstad has outgrown the premises and found a new location at Teknikringen, just by Linköping University.

- We are so happy that we have found our new premises in Mjärdevi centre! In all we will have over 100 office spaces spread over two and a half floors with an area of approximately 1900 square metres. I’m sure that our employees will enjoy the new proximity to our partner companies in fields like electronics and software development, as well as work in a more central area, heavily influenced by the nearby university, says Magnus Karlsson, site manager for Väderstad’s office in Linköping.

The employees in Linköping currently belongs to R&D, IT and Supply Chain, and all of those currently working in Tornby will move to Mjärdevi.

When Väderstad opened an office in Linköping in 2019, the idea was that it would facilitate the recruitment of certain special skills. Three years later, it is no doubt that the decision was right.

- We strive to be an innovation leader in both technology and methods in our field of business, and we are on a solid growth track. This means we also want to be the employer of choice for all current and potential employees. Therefore, we are very happy to expand our presence in Linköping to be able to welcome more talents to the Väderstad family, says Henrik Gilstring, President and CEO.

The plan is for Väderstad to move into their new premises at Mjärdevi at the end of March this year.
