Väderstad invests in modern laser cutting facility

In the coming years, Väderstad will invest in a facility for production of laser cut metal parts. The facitily, which will produce metal parts for the full product range, represents an investment of 15.4 million euro. In addition to expanding the production capacity and further ensuring a very high machine quality, this investment is a statement of Väderstad’s positive look on the future.

- This investment will provide us with increased opportunities to produce our own machine parts in-house, thus enhancing our control of the process. We will ensure our high quality level whilst at the same time gaining versatility, says Jan Engfeldt, CEO at Väderstad.

The new fully automated facility will produce specialized metal parts on demand. The facility will stock raw materials, laser cut, perform multi-operations and batch picking material completely automatically.

Modern production

- Just as the fully automated tube laser facility, Väderstad built in 2008, this new facility will give us the opportunity to produce directly on customer orders. This gives us high versatility and increases our ability to meet customer demands regarding shorter delivery times, says Jan Engfeldt.

Väderstad AB, which is included in the Väderstad Group, is represented in 40 countries worldwide. In the financial year 2016, Väderstad Group together with its international subsidiaries, reported a turnover of 236 million euro.

Väderstad's new laser cutting facility, which will be built in the current premises, is scheduled to be operational in the autumn of 2018.
