Väderstad one of five finalists

We are proud to have been named one of five finalists in The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences competition, Smart industry. The competition rewards companies that make use of digitisation opportunities in an innovative way with clear results. The winner will be appointed at a public seminar at The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in Stockholm on 5 February.

Väderstad’s machines and methods have been ground-breaking for generations and this is not the first time that Väderstad noticed for its innovative ability.

"We are very proud and happy about the nomination, which is proof of our strong innovative power with the ability to translate ideas into effective solutions," says Mats Båverud, President and CEO of Väderstad Group.

The Smart industry was founded by Siemens, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries and The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2016 in order to stimulate digital transformation by highlighting good examples. Finalists and winners are appointed by a jury consisting of high-ranking representatives from the industry and academia.
