Väderstad introduces AR to the farming industry

Väderstad AR

Väderstad introduces Augmented Reality (AR) to the farming industry. Using a smartphone or tablet farmers are able to experience farm machinery in a completely new way.

- With the Väderstad AR technology, the farmers are for example able to see how the seed meter of the world-record planter Väderstad Tempo is able to deliver excellent precision at high speed or how a roller change in the advanced easy-to-use metering system Fenix III is carried out in a matter of seconds, says Mattias Hovnert, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, at Väderstad, and continues:

- As always, the Väderstad farm machinery is designed hand-in-hand with farming methods and concepts. The AR technology is a good way for us to highlight the agronomical benefits on a farm level.

The Väderstad AR technology makes content in the new Väderstad brochures come to life. The first brochures available are the new brochures for the Tempo planter and the Seed Hawk air seeder. Five additional brochures released in October 2018 will follow these.

- The Väderstad AR app is easy to use. Simply open the Väderstad AR app and point the camera towards one of the AR triggers in the new Väderstad brochures. The AR triggers are marked with a small plus sign icons, says Mattias Hovnert.

The Väderstad AR technology uses the “Väderstad AR” app on a smartphone or tablet. The “Väderstad AR” app is available for free download in Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
