On 4 April, 306 hectares of sunflower were drilled within 24 hours in Bulgaria. The field was drilled with a Tempo R 12 at an average speed of 19 km/h. Measurements of emergence show almost perfect precision.
Now measurements from the 24-hour race in Bulgaria are being published. The precision is presented as coefficient of variation (CV) and the lower the CV value, the more precisely the seeds are placed. The value obtained for the 24-hour race was 18.5 per cent. This can be compared with the average in Europe, for which the CV value is normally around 40%.
