Tempo R 12-18 is a rigid, mounted high-speed planter available with 12 or 18 row units, and fertiliser metering as an option. With easily adjustable row spacing, it is possible to plant numerous crops with the same machine, enabling greater usage. The three-point linkage provides excellent manoeuvrability and short headlands, Additionally, a rigid frame benefits from fewer moving parts, minimal weight and reduced maintenance without compromising the excellent precision Tempo R offers.
Väderstad Tempo is a new generation high-speed planter, delivering an unmatched precision at double the speed of traditional planters. No-till, min-till or conventional tillage – Tempo performs exceptionally in all conditions. The crops gets the best start possible which results in an even emergence.
Tempo R has a frame designed to enable simple setup of row spacing and number of row units, including odd numbers.
The row spacing on the 18 row Tempo R 18 can be set down to 450mm, while the 12-row model can be configured between 700 to 800mm. This results in more hectares per season and consequently lowers costs.
Equipped with optional transport wheels and drawbar, Tempo R 12 and Tempo R 18 can be easily transported between the fields on the farm.
Despite the wide working width, the transport width fits under 3 metres.
The front mounted fertiliser hopper FH 2200 enables high precision combi-drilling. The 2200 litre hopper is equipped with the electric Fenix III metering system, suitable for high capacity and high working speeds in the field.
FH 2200 integrates with the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control or the ISOBUS-terminal of the tractor.
The iPad-based control system, Väderstad E-Control wirelessly delivers data about each seed that travels through the machine, including seeding quality, skips, doubles, distance in the row, and rate.
You benefit from user-friendly remote set up and calibration, as well as easy, real-time monitoring and control.
With the iPad you can upload the most recent program software which allows you to benefit from future developments.
In combination with the front hopper FH 2200, Tempo is able to combi-drill fertiliser at high speed. The high capacity fertiliser coulters maintains the high precision even at high speed.
Fertiliser kit
The hopper is easy and safe to access via a platform and its large opening improves filling time and reduces downtime in the field. The fertiliser coulters are spring-loaded and can apply a force up to 150kg, which also is sufficient when direct planting. The fertiliser can be placed according to need, both sideways and depth wise. The gauge wheel on the fertiliser coulter has two tasks - to control the depth and to reduce the soil throw from the fertiliser coulter.
Floating row cleaners
Each row cleaner is mounted on a parallel linkage, enabling it to precisely follow the field surface. The working intensity is easily configured with a spring, which makes it possible to either add or relieve pressure from the row cleaner. The row cleaner is fitted with a self-cleaning rubber wheel, controlling the depth setting of the high quality spiked row cleaner disc. With optimised working angles, the floating row cleaners are designed to perfectly match the capacity and precision of Tempo.
With Tempo, planting can be carried out at very high speed, without compromising exceptional precision and accuracy. Tempo is extremely accurate and the seed meter assures perfect placement for every seed. This precision is of greatest importance to maximise the yield.
16mm seed system
The 16mm seed system comes as standard. It is optimised for seeds under 15mm diameter.
22mm seed system
When planting large seeds over 15mm diameter, it is possible to equip Tempo with a 22mm seed system instead of standard 16mm.
Micro granulate kit
The micro granulate hopper holds 17 litres to match the capacity of the seed hopper. The boxes are used for either a starter fertilizer or a pesticide. The micro granulate can be placed either in the seed furrow or on the surface.
Small seeds kit
The small seeds kit for Väderstad Tempo improves results when planting small seeded crops, such as oilseed rape and sugar beet. Planting a small seeded crop at shallow planting depth requires the planter to be very gentle to the seed. When the seed is planted the closing wheel shut the seed slot and ensures perfect conditions for germination. Depending on farming requirements, the interface further allows for several industry-standard third-party closing wheel solutions.
Spiked closing wheel
A spiked closing wheel if often used when direct planting. This closing wheel is also a good option when planting in heavy clay soils.
Narrow closing wheel 25mm
The task of the closing wheel is to close the seed furrow. The force on the closing wheels can easily be adjusted, and it is also possible to set the closing wheels off-set.
Wide closing wheel 50mm
The wide closing wheel is often used when planting very shallow. This closing wheel can also be used in conventional planting when planting maize and sunflowers.
Treaded closing wheel 50mm
By reducing the risk for crusting, the treaded closing wheel optimises the conditions for shallow planted seeds, such as sugar beets and oil seed rape
