Väderstad recently opened the doors to its brand new centre in Lithuania, located north of Kaunas in the centre of the country. The centre comprises of office, parts and service facilities. In conjunction with the opening, Väderstad celebrated 10 years of presence in Lithuania.
Väderstad’s sales director Fredrik Lundén said “We continue to invest in Lithuania because we believe in the local farmers. Over the last ten years we have seen a steady upward trend and so far we have delivered over 1 500 machines”.
Väderstad Lithuania’s MD Romas Naudziunas opened the ceremony by expressing his delight that Väderstad had finally fulfilled its promise to Lithuanian farmers to build a national sales and service centre.
“This demonstrates our belief in the future of agriculture in this country” said Romas Naudziunas. The CEO of Väderstad, Christina Stark, responded by saying "Our centre in Lithuania was built thanks to Lithuanian farmers who believed from the very beginning in our machines and technology and our fantastic team working in Lithuania.”

Guests from several countries attended the ceremony; a delegation from Sweden with Christina and Bo Stark at the forefront, Swedish Ambassador Cecilia Ruthström-Ruin, the Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture, Kazys Starkevicius and Rimantas Diliunas, the Mayor of Kedainiai.

Swedish Ambassador Cecilia Ruthström-Ruin expressed satisfaction that Sweden remains a major investor in Lithuania during her speech and concluded that this latest investment significantly contributes to cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister of Agriculture for Lithuania, Kazys Starkevicius, noted that “As a farmer myself, I'm convinced about Väderstad products and the quality of work they do especially since I tested their drill in my fields in the spring.”
